Why choose Springboard?

We’re a family-run nursery preschool, and we want to give your child the best possible start in life. We’re recommended by parents, and rated highly by Ofsted.

Each child graduating from Springboard leaves us equipped with the tools they need for that ever-so-important step up to primary school.

Open-door policy

We operate an open-door policy. That means that whenever you’d like to visit Springboard to discuss a part of your child’s development, we’re more than happy for you to do so.

Free-flow play

Our Anlaby setting is split into two playing areas. One is for babies and younger toddlers, and the other is for older, more confident toddlers and preschool children.

The older children have access to free-flow play, meaning they can choose whether they’d like to learn and develop with indoor or outdoor activities. This is available for children in our Hull city-centre preschool and toddler room, too.

In Willerby, children of all ages will have access to their own garden.

Ofsted rating

During our most recent Ofsted inspection in October 2023, we achieved a rating of ‘Good in all areas’, and ‘effective’ in safeguarding. You can read a copy of the report here.

Awards and accreditations

The Food Standards Agency have given us a food hygiene rating of five at all our settings, with the latest carried out in January 2024, and we’ve also received a HENRY award because of our commitment to caring for children in a healthy and happy environment.
